Welcome to Unite Ambassadors

Unite Ambassadors have the confidence and tools to foster mutual respect amongst their peers; whilst striving to make a positive impact and encourage social responsibility within their community.

Unite Ambassadors is a peer to peer youth programme that focuses on social education; championing diversity, embracing equality and encouraging cohesion for young people. It was created as a result of an Erasmus+ KA2 partnership that enabled a number of organisations to work collaboratively on a project entitled ‘Unite Ambassadors for Peace and Cohesion’.

The Partnership collectively created Unite Ambassadors. Unite Ambassadors  is a peer to peer led youth programme that focuses on social education; championing diversity, embracing equality and encouraging cohesion across Europe.  Any youth organisation, school or group can run a Unite Ambassadors programme.  The Ambassadors themselves should be aged between 11-19 years and will be trained and supported through a training package and toolkit which addresses the rationale for the role, the attitude and duties of an ambassador as well as developing skills in listening, public speaking and leadership.  This programme is to be delivered by a Mentor who is likely to work for the organisation, school or group that will have adopted the programme. Once trained Unite Ambassadors are encouraged and supported to deliver social action projects, campaigns and initiatives in their local communities.

Mentors will have access to the complete Ambassador training package, guidance and support materials.  A toolkit is also available to Mentors and Ambassadors to support them in delivering youth sessions, community projects or campaigns and create social actions in their community. The Unite Ambassadors network offers the opportunity of linking with other Ambassadors and meet together.

Any youth organisation or school can run the Unite Ambassadors programme. In order to do so an adult needs to take on the role of mentor for a group of young people who will become the Unite Ambassadors. The prospective Unite Ambassadors, aged between 11-19 years old, are trained by their mentor who uses the training package accessed on this website. The mentors role is then to encourage and guide the Unite Ambassadors to deliver social action projects in their localities. A toolkit is also provided on this site for the Ambassadors to use when they are planning to deliver youth sessions, run projects or campaigns and create social actions in their community.

Making a better tomorrow for young people today!

The development of the Unite Ambassadors programme is supported by Erasmus+ -the European Union programme for education, training, youth and sport.
